Of exams, riches and US universities

One more week to the exams, and I am still hurrying to cover as much ground as possible. =)

Somehow I found time to read this book entitles “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. Here was a man who devoted 25 years of his life studying why people succeed or fail. I was jumping around the place halfway through the book- I has also discovered for myself the secret to great success and riches. Amazing. You should read it! Your life will never be the same. And the best part: God has a part to play in all this too!

I am crazy. I tend to think about universities whenever I study for my exams. Have been idling around day-dreaming about entering the top US unis…

I’d love to go to Stanford, but it is need-based, i.e. no financial aid, cause asking for it dramatically reduces admission chances. Of equal preference is MIT which is need-blind=P. I want to study Management Science offered by these two universities, and not offered anywhere else among the top US unis. I also plan to study Economics. People who know me since secondary school may be surprised as they think I am the engineering or science type. Maybe, but that is now of the past. Econs and management make my day now =)

Well, it all depends on whether I get accepted or not. Ohh… I can’t wait to start applying and write all those essays as well as fill in those application forms. =) So fun and exciting, especially just the thought of going to such great places to study! I’ll leave it to God to handle these things for me, for he has always been putting me at the right places through my life.

I’ll apply to (tentative)
Stanford, MIT, Yale, Princeton, Harvard, Wharton, Chicago, Cornell, UCBerkeley (9 in total)
Applying to either all nine or most of the nine, maybe only a few of it.

Any of it, please Lord!
Amen.
