The Chronicles of Narnia

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe revolves around a fantasy setting, with children as it’s main characters. It may seem like pure fiction (well, it is!) but behind the movie storyline lies a strong and undeniable tale which has been told for thousands of years, though in a more subtle way.

The Lion, Aslan, dies on the Stone Table in order to atone the sins of Edmund, the brother of Lucy Pevensie. He does the unlimate sacrifice, is mocked and treated shamefully on his way to his death. But yet he does not fight back, nor does he speak a word. He was willingly killed due to the sins of another boy and this seems to be shocking. Why would someone so majestic, pure, kind and powerful want to die for the sake of a small boy who made a mistake?

That is the crux of the point. Jesus was sent to die for our sins. Though we may never understand why He did that, He died to save us unworthy ones. He has risen again, just like Aslan did, and He will help us conquer the evil forces around us. He will lead us to see us through our many pathways. Now we can really be assured of His second coming. He will come again one day like Aslan, just like Mr Tumnus and the Bible said that he will. God Bless all and Merry Christmas! If you haven’t watched this movie, do so as soon as possible!
